The Hello and welcome to 31 Days of Terror 2025 and we are on day number 24 and I have two spooky stories for you today and our first story comes from Robin.

I have two stories to share.

Both happened in farming land around the north coast of New South Wales and Australia.

In my early 20s, I was friends with a young New Zealand guy, David,

who drove long-distance trucks for a living up and down the east coast of Australia.

He would often call into my mum's house on his way through from Sydney to Brisbane.

Early one evening at around 6.30pm, my mum called out that she had just heard David's truck put up,

that she heard his air brakes go off.

I went out to meet him, but he wasn't there.

I turned around to my mum and said,

That wasn't David, she must be hearing things. Late that night, the phone rang and it was David's mum calling from New Zealand. She was distraught. He had been involved in a tragic accident

that night and had been killed on a bridge in his truck.

I asked her what time it had happened and she said the police told her around 6.30 that night.

The same time my mum had heard his air brakes out the front of our house.

His mum wasn't able to travel to Australia to identify his body.

"'I went out to meet him, but he wasn't there.

"'I turned around to my mum and said,

"'That wasn't David, she must be hearing things.

"'Late that night the phone rang and it was David's mum calling from New Zealand.

"'She was distraught.

"'He had been involved in a tragic accident that night night and had been killed on a bridge in his truck.
