Super, super excited to sit down with another Ben.

Another well-known Ben in the community, Ben Falk,

of Cleaning the Glass.com. He is formerly with the Portland Trail Blazers and Philadelphia

76ers. Worked in the league for a number of years as we'll talk about briefly in our conversation but sat down with

Ben to talk about analytics and basketball measuring defense.

We get into looking at film a lot and the connection between film and defense and data and

just turned into a very interesting conversation.

This is something I wanted to do for a very long time

since I discovered you and your work

and cleaning the glass.

So, thanks so much for coming on. Thanks for having me. work and just

just excited to have a great basketball conversation.

So maybe that's a good place to start,

just maybe like a little background on how cleaning the glass

came to be you know you were working in the NBA for years and I feel like once you

started it it sort of took hold and almost became like a phenomenon and it's just now it's so

widely used and known by so many people in the industry so tell me like just a little bit about how that came to be

well some of it's probably luck, but you know, right place, right time any of that. But I mean for me, so, you know, I worked in the NBA, you said for eight years and I it was probably the right amount of time to learn a lot and not too long to forget what it was like to be on the outside.
