know but he is responsible for

Randy the puppet aka Randy felt face and if you've been at any festivals in

Edinburgh or Montreal or Australia and even these days America as well.

Over the past few years, 10 years or so you cannot fail to have missed. Is that the right way around with all the double

negatives? Basically you will know who Randy is. Randy is a kind of not even

Sesame Street's style really but he's kind of like that um he well you can see

in the picture of this he's a felt faced purple puppet who is genuinely one of the

best comedians I've ever seen the one we'll talk about this in the episode

the ability that he has to completely embody and enliven this incredible character

also gives him a springboard and you know we often talk on the show about how

if someone has a character then they can they can take more risks and lose

themselves a bit more it be less inhibited well you can't even see Heath because he hides

underneath a little table when Randy is performing and there is an absolute

lack of inhibition which as a result creates some really brilliant majestic comic moments and the wonderful

thing about Randy and Randy is a wonderful thing is that he uses that freshness and that funniness to actually get into some serious topics.

So there are some real standout routines. I urge you to watch Randy online if you're unable to see

them live there's tons of clips on YouTube and you will see just how affecting and

funny this comedian puppet comedian is now he has never been on a podcast before he doesn't like appearing as himself ever and numerous times in the past he has turned down an appearance on this podcast he wanted to do it as Randy and I mean I didn't tell him this at the time but I was almost about to crack and go
