If you could use some hope, I pray you find it here today. Just a couple of days ago I had a great catch-up conversation with a good friend and we

were discussing what the aha moments have been in my life regarding spiritual truth?

And I said, well, number one is grace.

They were saved not by performance, but by the perfection of Jesus.

I said number two would be the detail to which God goes to tell us what's about to happen,

what happens next, including wonderful discussions

like the rapture, the millennium,

the second coming, the great white throne judgment.

I love that stuff. But then number three and he was

surprised by this. I said number three for me, spiritual gifts. For many of my

years I did not know that we're all different that we've been made different and we

shouldn't compare ourselves with one another but that was a huge discovery and a

welcoming and freeing discovery for me.

You see, multiple times in his New Testament letters,

Paul uses the analogy of a human body

to explain unity in the church.

It's a great illustration. We understand if a foot tried to be a hand or an
