I'm going to Hi everyone and welcome to an episode of Be Still and Be Loved.

The entire goal of this podcast is to get you to rest, to call upon the parts of your mind, your body, your soul that require rest, that you would allow the word to encounter you.

You're not trying to figure things out, you're not trying to solve problems, you're just going to be still and let God come upon you.

The word is active and alive and it's sharp

and it will encounter you in the ways and the places you need to be met.

So right now, begin to find yourself seated in a comfortable position or laying down on your back with your feet rested on the floor

maybe letting your knees either fall together or fall apart from each other.

Just find yourself scanning through your body to check to see there's any rigid places or places that seem thick or concrete and heavy.

And now begin to find your breath in a bigger way.

Inhailing and letting your belly expand

and your lungs expand in your ribcage

all the way up through the throat to the head

and then exhaling, letting it pour out from the head, throat, heart and belly.

Continue to just spend time letting the breath have its way.

Instead of dragging the breath behind you, you're letting the breath get in front of you and do the work that only slowing down and breathing can do.
