This is episode number 307, and our guest is one of you, a listener of the show.

I want to start with an introduction by reading something that this guest, Matt, had wrote to me,

and he said, and I quote,

perseverance is what defines us as hunters. No matter the obstacle and no matter the difficulty,

we will persevere. We will find a way. That's what makes us hunters. After all that happened in 2020 between a pandemic, two hurricanes,

no one being able to join me for an out-of-state elk hunt

and dealing with type 1 diabetes, I still found a way.

So don't wait until the next year or until things get better to pursue your dreams.

There will always be an obstacle or a reason not to go. But you can never get that

year, that memory, or that adventure back. Go be a hunter and persevere. Pursue your dreams no

matter what the obstacle. So that quote comes from our guest today, Matt. This is, as I mentioned,

a listener story in a conversation that I thoroughly enjoyed.
