It seems like it's from 1910. It's so long ago when I watched it and we're doing a full recap of one of the greatest episodes of reality TV ever.

Season 3 of Rony Episode 12. The actual title of it is called Sun, Sand and Psychosis. So Melissa M, this is for you. Hey Mary Payne, are you ready?

Oh my gosh, we have had so much fun doing this because I of course have seen all this just like you have probably several times, but it's been a couple of years since I revisited it.

And I have forgotten so much about Ramona and she's always been such an asshole, you know, like to the staff and stuff.

And just I completely, some of the stuff I thought maybe they'd come around in their later years, but no, they've always been this way.

And so interesting that Sonya is sort of the voice of reason in this episode where she's the one that is trying to calm Kelly down and she's not drinking very much and they're still saying to Sonya, like we know about your past life.

Let's not talk about it. Like 10 years later, they're still saying that to Sonya. You know, it's it's right. It's like some the more things change the more they stay the same.

It was almost like, I don't know, it was comforting to rewatch it and think, you know what? We'll always have these crazy bitches. They will always do the same brand of crazy as much that has changed this year for all of us.

Yeah, it continues to it's like you look back from 10 years ago and they were the exact same people in so many ways. It's amazing.

It is comforting. It is. It is.

And this is going to take a while. So let's get started. And I really want to thank Willis and Maccatchy for doing this because it with all the stuff we have to watch, you know, it's nice to kind of be forced to watch something like this that really kind of just takes you back.

So episode 11 and a little bit of the one after because those are iconic too. Those are all part of this trip. I mean, but this is the one that goes down into history that is that lives in infamy.

Sure does. Okay, so let's start at the top. We're going to recap this bitch. Yeah, we got to go. All right. But just so we get our bearings. We're on a yacht. We're in St. John, which is in the Virgin Islands.

Oh, my right about all that location. Okay. And it is considered to be Ramonus trip. This is the year of her renewal. Where she's like, look at me. I got my new hair cut. I look just like Cameron Diaz. Don't I Diaz?

Look, we got the yacht. Luan and Jill Zarin are not on this trip. Jill Zarin has had a falling out with Bethany. They used to be besties. This is the year that they have their huge rift. This is also the year that Bethany gets pregnant and engaged to Jason Hoppe.

She is both of those while they're on this trip. So she is recently pregnant and also recently engaged also the backstory here is that in the episodes preceding this Ramona tried to set up a like kind of like a mending fences thing with Jill and Bethany and Jill completely refused to.

She's like walked out. She wouldn't entertain that next thing you know Bethany's father actually passes away. So this is a huge year for Bethany. It's a huge year for the Jill versus Bethany thing. And this trip is happening basically on the heels of all of that crazy ass drama.

Luan is also not on the trip and she makes an excuse about her daughter's birthday being more important than the trip. It's not about that. It's just because she doesn't want to go because they're having a rift between groups. And the renewal thing with Ramona back to that. I'm just giving the backstory before we get into the details of the episode.

The renewal thing that's happening with Ramona is not just about her hair and her thinking she looks like camera Diaz on any level of like remote reality. She's also claiming that 17 years is the exact right time to do a Val Renewal with Mario.
