Well, I'm delighted to say that thus far at least, it's been a pretty good week for Ukraine.

On Monday, tiring at last of Putin's excuses, President Trump announced large-scale and rapid

military supplies to Ukraine on the one hand, and on the other that he would impose 100%

secondary tariffs on countries that buy oil and gas from Russia, notably of course China

and India, if Putin did not agree to a peace

settlement within 50 days. We've been calling for both these initiatives for months, haven't we,

Patrick? So it seems to be very good news. But as ever with Trump, I'm guessing the devil is in

the detail, isn't it? Absolutely. As with all these things, Saul, it's best not to get too carried away too quickly

when some good news appears to pop up. So we'll come on to that later, what devils may be

lurking in which details. But let's just go over what Trump actually said in his meeting

with NATO General Secretary Mark

Rutter. Mark Rutter, we all remember, is a bit of a Trump fanboy, and Trump revealed the world

this wonderfully fantastic email he sent him or message on his socials that he sent him. Anyway, so this is pretty good news.

I think the United States is going to impose severe 100% secretary tariffs on Russia's trade partners

if there's no peace settlement to end the war within 50 days. We'll come on to that later,
