All right ladies and gentlemen sorry for that

wind noise I'm sitting on out what is this a mute a mesa a high spot in the

desert just outside of Tertlingua Texas which is at the western entrance to

Big Bend National Park here's what happened you know this is this is my

favorite thing in the world these my two favorite things in the world combined

last night one is traveling and the others podcasting I'll tell you how that

happened Cassie and I were planning to go into Big Bend we got to the entrance

and the guy said oh the campgrounds are all full I recommend you go back to

Tertlingua and you know find a place to stay there and then come back early in

the morning and you know try to get a campsite you know before the crowds

arrive so shit we turned around went back to this little town Tertlingua which

doesn't really look like there's a lot going on there's like a ghost town and

couple of stores and a gas station and a lot of a lot of dirt and rock and so

like all right we'll just like get some dinner and we'll find something can

spick you as place to pull in and hope nobody bothers us and and we'll just

wait for tomorrow and then I remember that on well first I couldn't remember if

it was an email or where it came from but somebody had written to me saying hey

if you go to Tertlingua you know say hi or whatever and so I went looking

through all my emails and finally I found that it was it was a guy who wrote to

me through Instagram and he said that he had a buddy here who was an

interesting guy and we should look him up if we got to Tertlingua and his name
