On a scorching August morning in 2009, firefighters responded to a blaze behind a church near Peoria

and 12th Avenues.

What they assumed was a routine call quickly turned into something far more sinister.

As the flames died down, they discovered something horrifying inside that burning trash can.

It was a quiet morning in Phoenix, Arizona, on the 5th of August 2009. The city was already simmering under the
