Hello heroes and welcome to another exciting episode of One Shot. I'm James Damato your host and game master.

This week we're playing Camden Wright's One Child's Heart.

One Child's Heart is a truly wonderful sci-fi speculative fiction game that is wildly original and

shows off exactly why role-playing games are such a good way to explore speculative fiction.

Camden does a great job explaining the premise of the game in the episode, so I'm not going to spend too much preamble on that.

Suffice to say if you are somebody who prioritizes unique experiences within role-playing,

I think one child's heart is a great game for you.

Also, if you like emotional play, it's definitely worth checking out.

I recorded this at BreakoutCon when I was operating on two hours of sleep and I must have been listening to Neoskum a lot on the plane ride over because my character voice very quickly morphed into a dach rambo impression, which I thought might be a tonal clash for this game, but to Cameron's credit, he made it work wonderfully.

Finally, before we dive into the episode, as of of late there have been a bunch of

medical problems that have been affecting members of the one-shot network. A couple

weeks ago I spoke to you about Drew breaking his arm. If you don't know Drew

he's done a couple episodes of one shot. He co-hosts

the Ward a podcast and you definitely heard him on the dungeon dome.

Unfortunately, recently, due to a bad fall, Drew broke his elbow. Not only injured him and caused a lot of medical bills, but it cost him an acting job.
