I just remember thinking, I can sit next to this man and just feel peaceful and I could sit

next to him for the rest of my life.

But years later, Jamie's conviction was replaced with a sense of doubt.

And I guess over the years, I've been married 23 years now.

Over the years, we had children and I just had this growing sense that I've married the wrong person, actually.

I just started to feel like my marriage was more of a life sentence.

It was a feeling she couldn't ignore.

I'd been thinking, how can I get out of this misery or this miserable relationship?

Even though I'd said the fence was comfortable, it was starting to become unbearable.

And then one night, her husband laid it all on the line.

She said, if you want to leave, just feel free to leave.

You're free.

But if you're going to leave, leave soon because I don't want to grow old alone and I want to find someone else to live my life with.

Is what he said.

And that's when Jamie realized.

I knew I had a decision.

I knew I had to get off the fence.

My guest, Jamie wasn't in love with her husband anymore and felt trapped by her mistake in marrying him.
