0:00.0	And I've studied a guy. What made Churchill such a brilliant wartime leader?
0:05.0	When you look at the lead up to World War II, Churchill saw what was coming, and nobody listened to him.
0:10.0	Nobody wanted to believe that what he was saying was true. He even had like a secret army of spies,
0:14.0	just kind of reporting back to him about what was going on in Germany, trying to make sure that people knew the danger,
0:19.0	because Hitler told everybody he was a man of peace.
0:21.1	The British people believed him. Joseph Kennedy, the American ambassador, he was a huge Hitler fan.
0:25.7	So the first bombing of London was September 7th. That's when the blitz begins.
0:29.3	If you pull up a map that show places in London that were bombed, it's everywhere.

0:35.0	He was very much behind the idea of, you know, we need battleships, we need to build a standing army.
0:39.6	He just wanted to let people know he wasn't just a politician.
