I'm your host, Catelyn Gansch, aologist and speaker, Trent Horn.

And today we're talking about pain.

But there are some massacres out there who think it hurts so good, like they want to eat

super spicy food until their heads explode.

And there's probably you and me who would like to go through life with as little pain as

possible.

Now we know that pain can be a good thing.

I mean, pain is what helps us be aware that things in the world are hurting us.

I mean, there are people who are born with medical conditions where they can't feel any

pain at all.

So for example, if their hand is on a hot stove, they don't realize it until they smell

the charred flesh.

So pain is something that helps us operate in the world.

It really does keep us alive.

But sometimes pain can be a bit overwhelming.

We don't want to have to deal with it.
