0:39.0	I'm doing great today Tim. I am really excited about this interview that we have coming up because we have an old friend who's joining us
0:46.0	and we have a new friend now who I never thought that we would get the opportunity to speak with.
0:52.0	But before we get into all of that, we can't let an intro go by without finding out the ultimate question

1:01.0	Well, thank you for asking Lance. I'm doing great. I am excited to bring our audience this episode
1:08.0	and really this harrowing tale that is really kind of a complicated emotional case, I guess you could say.
1:18.0	So the guests that we have on Jodie Plouche and Chris Duet.
1:23.0	Chris Duet has hosted the Criminal Perspective Podcast which is on the Crawl Space Media Network.
1:29.0	He's hosted that for years now. You should go check that out, follow the links in the show notes.
1:34.0	And Jodie Plouche is a survivor.
1:37.0	He was kidnapped in March of 1984 by Jeff Duet.
1:43.0	And once Jeff Duet was apprehended by police, he was flown back to Louisiana and waiting there at the airport for Jeff
1:53.0	was Gary Plouche, Jodie's father who shot Jeff in the head, shot him and killed him right there at the airport while he was in police custody.
2:04.0	And it was all televised. So it's this insane media moment.
2:10.0	And then we have an opportunity to speak with Jodie who can reflect on it after all these years.
2:17.0	And it's just amazing to hear the emotional journey that he's gone through since this happened and where he is today.
2:27.0	And it's just a wild conversation.
2:30.0	Yeah, you mentioned that this was a complicated sort of emotional journey that Jodie has gone through.
2:35.0	But even as a listener, you have to get your head wrapped around the fact that Jodie was 11 years old when he was kidnapped by Jeff and had been in Jeff's trust circle.
2:47.0	The Jeff was also friends with the family. He was Jodie's karate teacher.
