Marshall Kossloff is here.

He is a media fellow at the Hudson Institute.

He's one of the most interesting thinkers around these days.

And he somehow worked it out so that he hosts two podcasts in which he gets to speak to all the other most interesting thinkers around.

The first, the realignment, which Marshall hosts along with Sager and Jetti, covers the shifting state of politics, policy, business, and technology during a period of disruption.

As established industries, institutions,

and coalitions fail to adjust to the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

In the other one, the deep end, Marshall has in-depth discussions with visionary builders,

creators, and experts about world-changing ideas.

It's the end of the summer. I, your humble host, Corbyn Barthold, am technically on vacation.

I was hoping to bring on a guest with whom I can have a more wide-ranging, perhaps even philosophical

conversation. And I couldn't be more excited that

Marshall is on to have that discussion with me. One specific thing I expect we'll get into

is content moderation. I think there's a lot of really dumb rhetoric on the right about tyranny

and Orwell and whatnot. I've got into it at length before on

the show. And this makes it sort of easy, though, to fall into caricaturing sort of the entire

American rights critique of social media. And Marshall is really thoughtful on this topic

and on big tech in general.

So I'm hoping he can present the smart person's guide to conservative thinking about social media, if you will.

Although, you know, I'm not sure I can say conservative.

I'll make sure to let him define his own position before he gets into telling conservatives what they should think or do.

Anyway, beyond that, I'm just hoping to hear what's on Marshall's mind.
