Hello and welcome to episode 300 of Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

On this bonus episode of the show, we'll be hanging out and chatting with some of our longtime

listeners, sort of like we did back in episode 200, and generally just celebrating the fact

that Geek's Guide to the Galaxy has somehow managed to last for 300 episodes.

And so today on the show we've got our producer John Joseph Adams,

along with longtime listeners Jesse Colton, Tyler Lutz,

Chrissy Lutz, and Johann Roud.

And so let's start with Jesse, and have you just tell us a little bit about yourself

and how you started listening to Geek's Guide to the Galaxy.

Okay so hi my name's Jesse. I discovered the show. I think it was when I was on my first big

atheism kick and I was reading lots of Christopher Hitchins and Richard Dawkins and whenever I discover someone that I like I usually go on iTunes and just look for interviews with them and I think that was how I first discovered the show was the interview with Richard Dawkins.

And from there I just looked through the list and saw that like every other episode was someone I liked and ended up just listening to half the episodes that had been

recorded up to that point and since then I've discovered a lot of new things

through the show. Well yeah that's really cool because I mean I've said that

Richard Dawkins and George R Martin,

which were two of the people I was most excited to interview.

So, and that was one of the things that really, you know, for a while it was touch and go

whether the show was going to keep going back in the early days and after I interviewed
