I saw this thing on Instagram the other day where you could check off or I'm trying to think

if you could check off or you added. I think you added like every job you've ever had.

And I was like, oh, that's kind of interesting so I started

making a list of all my jobs and that was fun we we shared that the other day with the girls the

bigs um like our job history but I think what's even more compelling and fun to look back at is the lessons that you learned,

that I learned, that both of us learned from our jobs.

So that's what we're going to talk about today.

So first job ever, Neil, what was your very first job that you got paid for?

The first job that my, I guess my parents didn't like hire me for was because of my brother,

my older brother, Dave, just being the entrepreneurial person that he is, he went and knocked

doors in the neighborhood with a buddy and asked people if they could, if they had any lawn

or like yardscaping, landscaping help that they needed.

And so they knocked into this lady around the corner and she employed them and then me and

then eventually like other kids from our neighborhood for like years.

So it is pretty cool.

So it was a job where I planted, like we planted flowers. We laid down bark. We moved rocks around. We climbed like trim trees. It was really cool. It's great job. It's in like, I think, fourth, fifth grade. Okay. So excited to have a job. It's just pumped. Yeah. My elementary school teacher was kind of like, what is this? Like, what will

you have a job? Like, what are you doing? Like, is this legal? Are there this child labor laws?

But I was excited about it. So what's the greatest lesson you learned from that job?

I think just responsibility and work, like hard, how to just stick with something and provide value

and then you get you you you have you know you have money like you have you create a situation

where you're like wow i can be responsible responsible with showing up for this, this job,

doing a good job, adding value, and then receiving value in a monetary way. So overall,
