I did warn you that I was going to mix things up a little bit and you know it can't just

be cult cult cult it can now be cult

Scientology and flat earth for example I don't know you've got to live a bit don't

you've got to go outside of your comfort zone and whenever I ever debated a flat earth so I thought it was

about time and it is going to be a frustrating listen at times for you guys

firstly because David Weiss who I who I'm debating in this hasn't got too much interest in

listening and taking things on and well that's because he's a flat earther or he's a flat earther because of that

it sort of makes sense it's also frustrating because it's going back and forward and the

thing is I don't know how to prove the earth is spherical so to an extent I am relying on faith as much as he is except my faith is

in millions of scientists around the world and his is in a very small group of people rallying against the system

with just outrageous claims. But I did learn a lot in this. I mean one of the things I came to learn about flat earth

movement, which is a growing thing

I mean it's hard to know the exact numbers but there are tens of thousands of

people who seriously do believe that the earth is flat and it's fascinating to

hear how he gets to explain these things because it is quite exciting

and it sort of adds up and it makes you go, oh maybe there's something outside of all of this.

But I was fascinated to learn that it actually comes down to a creator.

That's what it's really about.

And I think it's quite cultish in that respect,

like many of the other beliefs that we discuss on this channel,

which is why I think it fits in.
