I'm getting into just by doing this episode.

Of course, we're talking about somebody once told me the world was going to roll me.

That's right.

We're talking about Shrek donkey.

The little tramp who captured the world's heart, made the world laugh and cry.

So, Will, what do you remember about Shrek?

Well, I was 12 years old when the first Shrek came out, which was a pretty ideal age to see it.

I saw it in a theater. I thought it was okay.

And then for the next two years, I saw it generously 500 more

times in classrooms and like on the school ski trip, on the bus, and in French class, in

French, and just like the last week of school in many different classes, they'd be like,

oh, we got a VHS copy of Shrek. Let's throw this in. The kids like Shrek. What was it with people just going Shrek crazy?

Like, I have the same story as you.

Teachers continually played Shrek.

It's like they gave these VHS tapes for free to people.

So the context for Shrek, it's easy to forget, was after a decade and a half of the Disney revival,
