First up is Preston Lee, the founder of Millo.co, M I L L O. C.

It's a blog and podcast network for freelancers,

and Preston actually shares several episodes

that have directly impacted his bottom line.

The first was episode 171 with Jason Zook which talked about

selling sponsorships. He's just a killer sponsorship salesman that's always a

model that's been interesting to me but the idea of like selling it before the content was even there was really fascinating to me.

And it was, I had heard that episode right at the time that I was about to launch our first podcast.

And so I thought I'd try it out. I reached out to a few companies who I thought would be a good fit with the show I explained to them what we were doing. I made some really bold promises to be honest about what I thought we could deliver them and they gave it a shot and we ended up booking something like over $4,000 in podcast sponsorships before we even aired a single episode. It was killer.
