Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this episode of The Wright Report, we cover Trump's proposed Gaza peace plan, a mysterious U.S. tanker deployment to Europe, the Pentagon's scramble for missiles and drones in a possible China war, and Russia and China's unraveling fortunes in Africa.

From a potential breakthrough in the Middle East to covert battles in Africa's deserts, today's brief explores the fights shaping America's security.

Trump's Gaza Peace Plan Gains Arab Backing:
For the first time since the October 7 attacks, Israel, Trump, and key Arab nations have united behind a deal. Hamas must release hostages, disarm, or go into exile while Gaza governance shifts to a Peace Board overseen by Trump and regional leaders. "This is basically the final offer to Hamas: accept it or death," Bryan explains. Even Arab allies like Qatar and Saudi Arabia have signed on, leaving Iran isolated.

U.S. Tankers Deploy to Europe, Iran or Russia in the Crosshairs:
Twelve U.S. refueling tankers flew to Britain, echoing prelude movements before Trump's strike on Iran earlier this year. Possibilities include targeting Iran's Pick-Axe Mountain nuclear site, sending a warning to Putin after drones crossed NATO skies, or simply NATO's Cobra Warrior exercise. Bryan notes, "Intel officers always ask, is the juice worth the squeeze?"

Pentagon Short on Missiles and Drones for China:
The U.S. has burned through a quarter of its missile interceptors and lags years behind on drone programs. Chinese subcontractors are even supplying critical parts for American weapons. Trump is pushing a mineral war strategy to rebuild U.S. supply chains. Bryan warns, "We don't have the cards for a quick victory in Taiwan," and Zelenskyy is offering U.S. training in exchange for Tomahawk missiles Washington can barely spare.

Russia and China Struggle in Africa's Sahel:
Islamist rebels are killing Russian contractors and Chinese workers across Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso. Moscow's Africa Corps has failed to protect regimes after Wagner's collapse, while Beijing's mines and projects are under attack. Elon Musk's Starlink is fueling rebel communications, and some suspect CIA or Ukrainian forces may be quietly aiding the insurgents. Bryan admits, "I can absolutely envision a scenario where a CIA officer recruits an al Qaeda scumbag to kill Russians and Chinese for us."

It's September 30th. I'm Brian Dean Wright, former CIA operations officer, and this is The Wright Report.

0:12.5

A good day to you, ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to The Wright Report, your Daily News podcast.

0:22.6

I've got four briefs for you this morning that are shaping America and the world.

0:27.7

First up, we've got the first real chance of a sustainable peace deal in the Gaza Strip.

0:32.2

I've got the hopeful details on that coming up.

0:34.7

Second, we've got a very mysterious deployment of 12 U.S. refueling tankers that

0:38.6

flew to Europe on Sunday. That is a pretty unusually big number. I've got a few reasons that could

0:44.0

explain for why that might be with Iran and Russia in the crosshairs. Third, the Pentagon is

0:49.7

scrambling for more drones and missiles this morning for a possible war with China. We just don't have enough.

0:55.2

We'll talk about why that might explain President Trump's interest in cutting an otherwise unhappy

1:00.0

trade deal with the communist regime. We'll make those connections shortly. For the Russia and China

1:05.3

are getting bogged down in Africa this morning. We'll go to Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger for the latest,

1:10.7

and whether the CIA could be involved in Moscow and Beijing's bad luck.

1:16.1

But before we get to our top stories of the morning, let's start with a quick clarification from yesterday.

1:21.5

I spoke of the horrific shooting in Michigan at a Mormon church in that state.

1:25.6

The suspect has been identified.

1:28.9

Fox News reports that the likely motivation was anti-Mormon hatred, but that is a low confidence assessment at this point.

1:34.9

Now, I shared yesterday that Michigan press believed that this killer went to the church, attended

1:40.4

the church, as did his mother. But as it turns out, that was for another shooting

1:44.9

at another church in Michigan last June, so I apologize for that error.

1:50.2

Nevertheless, we'll be tracking this case with our Mormon friends and our prayers this morning

1:54.6

and certainly our very deep condolences.
