0:28.0	This week we will be looking at a very small but very prominent institution of New York City,
0:32.5	the Cooper Union, or rather Cooper Union School of the Advancement of the Arts and Sciences,
0:38.5	an art, architecture, and engineering college that serves sort of as the cornerstone
0:43.5	to after place in the East Village.
0:45.5	The Cooper Union campus incorporates a few buildings in after place,
0:49.5	but will be chiefly concerned with the oldest one of them, which was completed in 1859,
0:54.5	the Union Foundation Building, which sits where 3rd and 4th avenues cross at 7th Street.
0:59.5	The school is important because the man who founded it is important.
