Hello and welcome to day 11 of 30 Days of Terror.

0:29.5

I've got three stories for you today. I think it's three. I think it's three.

0:38.4

So we're going to get straight into it. Let's do this.

0:43.4

Our first story today comes from Siprianna. For a bit of backstory, I've three

0:51.3

sisters and one brother and I'm the youngest. My sister closest in age is three

0:56.6

and a half years older than me and my only full sibling. Both my parents were

1:01.9

married before they married each other and they each had children with their

1:05.2

previous partners. My half siblings were in their mid to late teens by the time I was

1:10.9

born. This is important later I promise. My parents met in college as older

1:16.2

students. My father was working towards his PhD and my mother was in

1:20.9

college for the first time in her late 30s. After my sister was born,

1:40.0

and everyone looked after one another. Everyone was poor and just trying to make it.

1:45.2

They fed each other, clothed each other and kept watch over each other's

1:49.3

children. I was born while they lived there and we left when I was about three,

1:54.7

so I have no memory of living there. Although my parents loved the community,

2:00.4

they were also very aware that in these apartments there was something very wrong.

2:06.9

My mother describes a feeling of unrest and dread that she would sometimes

2:10.9

feel in the apartment. When my sister was born, they set up her nursery

2:16.0

in the small spare room. My mother never liked that room.
