Summary

We return for Season 30 of Mysterious Universe with a blast, traveling to the remote Venezuelan wilderness in search of hidden cities and dinosaurs. Could reports of sightings of a strange, dinosaur-like creature living on an isolated jungle plateau be real? We follow the adventures of a researcher who was determined to find out by embarking on a quest to uncover the story of living dinosaurs: the "little Nessie" of Angel Falls. 0:27.9	Welcome back to the Mysterious Universe, and on this episode I'm going to go into this
6:55.2	alive in the lost world, perhaps a reference to Arthur Conan Doyle's book. But this guy had made
7:02.4	eight trips to the top of this plateau in Venezuela, and he had explored a bunch of areas on the summit,
7:09.2	and during one of those early trips, this Venezuelan archaeologist Jose, he ran into this mysterious
7:15.6	old hermit, this guy that was living just in this kind of traditional hut on the side of one of the
7:22.8	rivers near the base of the mountain, not far from the falls. And this guy was out of place for sure,
7:29.4	mainly because he wasn't native, he wasn't like a Venezuelan Indian, he was a white guy, he was
7:36.9	Latvian, his name was Alexander's Lyme, and Jose kept on running into him when he would make these
7:44.4	expeditions to climb the plateau, and eventually the two became friends, he got to know this strange guy,
7:52.0	and after gaining his trust, one day Lyme took him aside, this Latvian hermit, and confided in
8:00.2	Jose that he had seen something incredibly strange on top of the plateau just a few years earlier.
8:09.6	Now I'm going to send you an image here of this sketch because he hands him this drawing that he did
8:16.0	from years earlier, it's actually decades before he met Jose, and see if you can put this one

8:25.5	Well, it looks like a pleziosaur. Yeah, it's a bunch of pleziosaur sitting on a rock,
8:29.6	the long neck, and the flipper-like fins, and yeah, it just looks like a dinosaur.

8:47.8	recently, but he'd also told Perre's Gomez tales of an area at the foothills of the plateau,
8:54.3	which he called the Valley of the Dinosaurs, where he claimed more of these creatures lived.
