Next week, we're going to talk about burnout.

Many of you right now feel like you're on the edge,

and like you can't take anymore.

We're going to talk about that next week.

Today, we're going to talk about trauma,

which is probably the most difficult of all the subjects

that we've talked about in the previous and upcoming weeks.

It's a subject that, quite honestly, you may not

hear about frequently in churches,

but we're going to talk about it today.

Many of you, unfortunately, in fact,

probably the majority of you at some point in your life,

you've endured something severe, some kind of trial,

some kind of abuse, some kind of heartbreak.

And so it's with a lot of help from experts

that I've been studying God's word and getting advice

from people who help others heal for a living,

and with a very heavy heart that I've been praying all week long

that the presence of God would do something

in the lives of so many of you who need hope that you can heal.
