Forensic experts were examining the damage this morning to try and establish the cause of the fire,

which was discovered at 11 o'clock last night in one of several offices 10 miles outside Belfast. Forensic scientists spent most of the day examining the debris from the fire at the sea park offices,

but haven't yet said whether the blaze was started accidentally or deliberately.

One night in January 1990, there was a fire in an office complex,

situated just outside Carrick Fergus in Northern Ireland.

Four members of the team who tackled the outbreak were treated in hospital for the effects of smoke inhalation.

It was eventually put out by the fire brigade. It's one of many offices in the old Carrera's Rothman's Cigarette factory complex

on their main road between Carrick Ferguson, Belfast. It's guarded 24 hours a day and no one gets in or out without being first checked at the gate.

The strange thing about the fire is that it happened in a high security area.

The complex was in REC headquarters.

There were security guards on the site 24-7.

The fire started before 11 o'clock last night in the third floor office being used by the Stevens team of detectives.

Which was discovered at 11 o'clock last night in one of several offices being used by the Stevens Inquiry Team.

The Stevens Inquiry Team was a major police investigation into allegations of collusion between security forces

or police and army intelligence and loyalist paramilitaries.
