What you can do with your Online Teacher Business in your First Year

Hey friend! Woo-hoo, it's February. We made it. Whether you're teaching in the classroom, remotely, or through a hybrid of both, I'm guessing you are juggling A LOT on your plate as a teacher right now...maybe it's even overflowing. So starting and adding a teacher business on top of your full-time teaching schedule can sound like climbing Mount Everest AFTER you've climbed Mount Kilimanjaro (where my geography teachers at?)! But that's why I'm going to let you in on a little secret...starting a successful teacher business online while you're still in the classroom is, believe it or not, the best time to start and succeed.

Three Teachers Share their Teacher Business Ideas for Success

So in today's episode, you're going to hear from three of my students who all started or expanded successful and life-changing teacher businesses this past year and, you guessed it, while they were still teaching in the classroom. That's right: we're talking about ONE YEAR ONLINE with a new or growing teacher business while teaching full-time. You're going to be shocked by what they achieved. You're going to hear how they changed their lives and their income by using key strategies from their involvement in the Make Your Mark Membership. You're going to hear about their numbers. You're going to hear about their impact. And, most of all, you're going to hear how deeply personal this work is to all of them. So whether you're teaching elementary, middle, or high school, you're going to receive a bunch of teacher business ideas and encouragement that you can start running with today. Get ready to climb those mountains and check out this episode!

In this episode, you will learn:

  • How one small goal (like an extra $50 to support a Target craving) can end with nearly 20 products and much, MUCH more…
  • Why launching your blog can multiply your revenue (oh, hello selling-on-your-own platform!)
  • That the classroom is the best place to find your online teacher business ideas (if your kids love it, you could be on to something...)
  • The value of SEO as a CEO Teacher
  • The worst thing you can possibly do for your business in year one
  • And why there's enough room for everyone on the business playground, including YOU.

Hey, CEO teachers and welcome to February. We made it. I hope that your 2021 is off to a great start.

0:08.5

I know that mine is, especially after chatting with these amazing women. On today's show, you're going to

0:15.5

hear from three students one year in a life-changing teacher business. So we're going to dive down deep into

0:23.1

three different students who are currently teaching 40 hours a week, and they're going to share

0:28.9

how they've utilized strategies inside of the Make Your Mark membership to create a life-changing

0:35.1

teacher business. What it's meant for them in their first year of business,

0:38.8

some of them are going to share some of their numbers, they're going to share how many students

0:41.9

they've gotten to impact. And it is such a powerful interview. I jumped on this call and

0:47.8

instantly knew that these three women were going to have a dynamic connection. And I was absolutely right. We had no

0:56.1

idea when we reached out to these three ladies that they were all middle school teachers until we

1:01.2

got on the call and we started thinking, okay, I was asking them. So what grade are you teaching?

1:05.1

What grade are you teaching? And it just so happens that all three of them are middle school teachers,

1:08.9

two are math teachers and one is an ELA teacher, which is probably why I love them so much, because as them are middle school teachers, two are math teachers, and one is an ELA teacher,

1:11.5

which is probably why I love them so much, because as a former middle school teacher myself,

1:16.0

I have a huge heart for people that teach middle school. I think we get kids in like a sassy way

1:21.3

that some people may not understand. So regardless of if you're teaching elementary school,

1:25.3

though, or middle school or high school, this interview is going to bring you so much hope and joy and you can see the progress in

1:33.6

just a year's time. I think sometimes you hear people on podcast or you see YouTube videos and

1:38.8

you think to yourself, man, yeah, but they started so long ago. So we really wanted to bring

1:43.7

in our brand new students that are

1:45.7

absolutely rocking it and show you firsthand what it means to step into the role of becoming a CEO

1:52.2

teacher and learn to make your mark on the world. I hope you enjoy it just as much as I enjoy
