Hello. Hello. Hello and welcome to the Morning Filter podcast.

0:29.2

I'm Susan Jubinsky with Morningstar.

0:35.8

Every Monday before market open, I sit down with Morningstar chief U.S. market strategist Dave Sikara to talk about what investors should have on their

0:38.2

radars for the week, some new Morning Star research, and a few stock ideas. Now, before we get

0:43.6

started this week, we have a programming note for our audience. We dropped a bonus episode of

0:48.8

the morning filter last week. I sat down with Morningstar Senior analyst Greg Warren to talk about Berkshire Hathaway

0:55.8

now that Warren Buffett is no longer CEO. Now, if you miss the bonus episode, you can find it

1:37.8

night, but it still looks like it's going to be a pretty ugly open. Last I checked, the S&P 500

1:42.9

futures were down over 1%. And oil was up 13%. And of course,

1:48.5

as we've talked about the last couple weeks, it's all about oil prices. I mean, the market is just

1:52.9

acutely aware of the importance of oil. So depending on how high and for how long oil prices

1:58.9

are elevated, you'll have a very adverse impact on the economy.

2:03.7

Now, I also got a lot of people asking questions about, you know, what's the market pricing

2:07.8

in for how long, you know, the military action is going to be ongoing.
