introduce you. Delma is a parent advocate for empowered families, a new organization through the

Mind Trust, a nonprofit organization. Her passion is to assist parents as they navigate through the

school system. Her goal is to help create a positive

experience for students, parents, and educators. And Delma is also a mother of three. Yes, you said it.

Mother of three. I have two, so I can't imagine. Yes, lots of work, fun work, but it's a lot of work.

Today we're going to talk about three simple ways to improve collaboration between home and school.

And you and I have talked before that this is not so easy. So I'm

glad that we're talking about this subject. Absolutely. Absolutely. Much needed. Much needed,

Holly. Definitely. Okay. Let's dive into number one, which is including the child. What do you think about that?

Including a child. Oftentimes, Holly, as you and I had discussed before, is that the child

generally gets lost in this whole conversation between the school and the parent. But really,

it's the child that needs to be at the forefront because, I mean, this is who

the discussion is about.

It's about the student.

One day that student is going to become an adult.
