Well, hello there. It's Morgan Harper-Nichols here. I'm an artist and a writer, and this is a space

where I turn the lens on various topics and subjects in hopes to learn something new or see something

in a new way. Today's piece is called for June 1st, three simple phrases to repeat to yourself. Thank you for listening. So very early this

morning on June 1st, I wrote a short poem, so I want to read this for you as we prepare to enter

into this new month. And perhaps even here at June, there is still time

for new beginnings. There is still abundant room for you to believe in the possibility of what could be.

To breathe in the same air of every beautiful thing. From garden lilies to mountain

peaks, may all of it remind you. You are free. You are free to let June be what June needs to be.

Let it feel like the soft fire of a new morning sun. Let it be an

invitation in the middle of the year to continue to become. Become and become who you were meant to be.

For perhaps even here at June, there is still time for new beginnings.

is just something that I have been thinking about a lot

lately. And it is my hope that for whatever remains uncertain in your life that you are able to see

where you are able to make choices, where you are able to take steps even if they are small even if they at first

seem insignificant so to repeat that phrase it's the uncertainty will not keep me from making bold

courageous choices number two is i am choosing to believe it is not too late for me. It's the middle of the

year and depending on how you kind of visualize a year or visualize time, I know that might be a weird
