How do you deal with people who frustrate you?

Well, this is one of the most important questions you'll ever answer in your life because

people are annoying and I'll tell you why, if you want to know the scientific reason,

is that most people don't have your best interest at heart. In fact, people have their interest at heart.

We know this, every psychologist would agree with this, every biologist,

organisms care about themselves, and because of that you will find people frustrating.

So if you don't create a methodology of dealing with that, you're going to have a shit life.

So I give you a few little tips. I'm not sure I'm an expert on dealing with frustrating people,

but I got a lot of full-time employees. I do a lot of work with people of varying levels of skill.

And the first thing you want to go into it, number one, I'll give you three.

The first way to deal with frustrating people is to realize the root of the frustration.

If you don't get to the root, grab my food. They're left in my office here.

If you don't realize the root of the frustration, you will never properly deal with it.

Okay, so let me give you an example. If you think the reason people are frustrating

is primarily because they're trying to be mean to you or spite you, you're wrong.

Once in a while, that's the truth. But for the most part, they're pursuing their own selfish end,

and you're getting in the way, and you're pursuing your own selfishness for the most part.

And so the two collide, and this is the root.

You've got to diagnose the problem correctly.

If you are a doctor and you diagnose somebody with a brain tumor, but they actually twisted their ankle,

everything you do is going to be incorrect.

Number one, just understand, it's not them out to get you.
