What's going on everyone? Welcome back to the Epic Gardening Podcast. Again, it is

imperfect week here on the podcast. Riley Brock is from Imperfect Foods and

Imperfect Foods is a grocery delivery service that is focused on building a better food system.

Yesterday we talked about Root to Leaf cooking tips or just using much more of the plant than you would traditionally think is is usable

in the kitchen but Riley you have a bit of an experience or actually probably quite a bit of

experience in in, right?

Yeah, so I had a former life as a line cook.

I started a small food business in college, selling tacos outside of parties,

and from that I did an apprenticeship in Europe

and then worked in kitchens here in the Bay Area for a couple years.

And so through that work I got to learn a lot of what professional cooks consider just kind of basics,

but things I realized actually in my home cooking life and when I was talking to friends and family are kind of game changers.

So I wanted to share just a couple different ways to up your game in the kitchen that I think will make cooking faster, less stressful, and more fun.

Awesome, cool, let's do it.

I mean, I think I have a weird patchwork knowledge of cooking.

I have gone really hard and made my own ravioli from scratch,

and then other simple techniques I've probably

never heard of before so I'm curious for myself as well. Yeah I mean the top one is

is gonna sound like jargon but it's this this concept called mezan plas which is an

unnecessarily French term for being organized.

It basically means just having your stuff together.
