Former President Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial

will soon be in the hands of a jury.

During closing arguments today,

Trump's defense team slammed the prosecution's key witness Trump's

former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen.

Attorney Todd Blanche told the jury, quote,

Cohen lied to you while maintaining the former president's innocence.

He says it was Cohen's decision to make the $130,000 hush money payment to adult film star

Stormed Daniels before the 2016 election to cover up her alleged affair with Trump and that Cohen didn't

tell Trump about it at the time. Blanche also tried to discredit the alleged

catch-and-kill stories attacking Trump. Separately Judge Eileen Cannon has rejected Special Counsel Jack Smith's request for a gag order against Trump in the classified documents case.

She says she wants Trump's defense team to have, quote, sufficient time to read the motion and talk it over with prosecutors.

About a million people have fled the southern Gaza city of Rafa over the past three weeks. That's according to the
