The consequences of the war between Israel and Hamas are trickling into the U.S.

The Council on America and Islamic Relations says the U.S. is experiencing an unprecedented

uptick and reported anti-Arab and anti-Muslim bias incidents in the week since the October 7

Hamas attack on Israel.

Just a week after the attack a 6-year-old Palestinian-American boy was stabbed to death just outside of Chicago.

His family's landlord was charged in what police are saying was a hate crime.

The man has pleaded not guilty to the charges which include murder.

Most recently, authorities say a man was shot and injured while selling Islamic goods outside

a mosque in Rhode Island.

Police say the shooting is under investigation. The mosque's imam

spoke to see an affiliate W-J-A-R about the incident.

We've been here for a year and we haven't had this tough issue. Until recently, the media was going on in the media,

Islamophobia and Muslims getting targeted.

And also, our Jewish brothers are getting targeted, so a lot of this is increasing.

Other suspected hate-related incidents have taken place across the country.

The surge in hate has made Muslim and Arab Americans more vigilant.
