Parts of the U.S. are reeling from catastrophic flooding,

while over 50 million people across the Central and Southeast

are under heat alerts today.

Those regions can expect to see

temperatures largely in the 90s with isolated temperatures breaking into the

triple digits. Not many heat records are forecast, but high humidity and temperatures can make it feel like

110 degrees outside in some areas.

Meanwhile, officials in Iowa and South Dakota say at least two people are dead

after severe storms caused major flooding in the Midwest.
