Hi there from CNN, I'm Chris de Boau with the five things you need to know for

Saturday January 6th. Not taking any chances, the FAA is ordering the grounding of

the model of a Boeing plane involved in the Alaska Airlines blowout incident.

The agency says this impacts 171 jets and they must be parked until emergency inspections are performed.

The Alaska Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing on

Friday when part of its cabin popped off in flight. There was a gaping hole in the jet

one passenger said was as wide as a refrigerator. with more than 170 passengers on board who were heading from Portland to Ontario, California.

Just to really underscore how dangerous this was, listen to what a passenger told K-A-T-U, another passenger told him.

She said that there was, I guess, a boy and his mother

was sitting in that row, and his shirt was sucked off him

and out of the plane, and his mother was holding on.
