I'm your host, Kosti Hin, and I've titled today's episode three P's money should never

get you in the church.

And I've been reflecting recently on James 2, which says in verse 1, my brethren, do

not hold your faith in the glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism.

For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring and dressed in fine clothes and

there also comes in a poor man in dirty clothes and you pay special attention to the one who's

wearing the fine clothes and say, you sit here in a good place and you say to the poor

man, you stand over there or sit down by my footstool.

Have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil motives?

Been reflecting on that passage in the importance of balance in the church, character in the

church, and while there will certainly be people with wealth who the Lord uses mightily,

and we know he does, there will also be people who are not of monetary means who God uses

greatly.

The most important thing that we need to focus on, whether we are rich or poor, whether

we have a lot or a little, whether we're young or old, is the character that God is developing.

Our hearts are very important and so I want to get into some uncomfortable territory.

An outline three piece that money should never get you in the church because we could

be guilty of showing partiality over the past 17 years.

I obviously grew up in the prosperity gospel.

I got saved out of that.
