What I'm going to teach you today are certain myths that people say either because they are not informed or because they're simply making excuses.

I'll let you decide which one of those categories you fall into.

Number one, debt is bad.

Oh my goodness.

You probably have heard this all of your life.

I heard this so much that when my husband and I went to buy our first house, I had no credit.

And the reason why I had no credit was because my

family had always told me never to get credit cards because they were bad and they were of the devil.

And what they didn't tell me was, don't get credit cards that I couldn't pay back, but I needed

to build credit. And even if, for whatever reason, I did need to max out my credit card for a greater

purpose to get a surplus to be able to pay that back, that also was okay. And did you know

that it's in the Bible? So let's go. Let's go to Second Kings four. And let's just start there. Now this will be the King James version, but soon I will switch to the message version. Now there quite a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets. And I want you to read this along with me because I want you to see that it's right here in the Bible that you can use debt for profit let's keep going

prophets unto elasha saying that servant my husband is dead deceased gone and thou knowest that that servant

did fear the lord and the creditor is coming to take unto him my two sons so this lady is saying listen prophet my husband is dead the creditor is coming to take unto him my two sons. So this lady is saying, listen, prophet, my husband is

dead. The creditor is coming to get my two sons. Like, can you please help me?

Elijah said unto her, what should I do for thee? Tell me, what's in your house? Now, here's the

thing. When people get desperate, their first thing is to just ask somebody for money.

Someone who they perceive can give them money. But Elijah said, what's in your house?

So what he's doing is having her think. Now, when you are in a panic, you cannot think straight.
