Welcome to How Leaders Lead. I'm Kula Callahan, here to bring you another edition of three more questions with David Novak.

David, it's so great to be with you. How are you doing today?

I'm doing fantastic, and I'm really pumped up because we're going to talk about my conversation with Condoleezza Rice,

the former Secretary of State and the current

director of Hoover Institution at Stanford University. And I have to tell you, when I was doing this

podcast, I literally pinch myself. I'm sitting there saying, I grew up in a trailer court, lived in 23

states by the time I was in seventh grade,

and here I am having the opportunity to have a conversation with Condoleezza Rice.

I mean, it really blew me away.

And then I learned all about Condoleezza.

And she grew up in segregated Alabama. And she came out of that

environment and ends up becoming Secretary of State of the United States of America. And that's what's

so great about this country is that it's still happening today, and I know people are down on

America and all this stuff and the divisiveness, but let me tell you, there's Condoleezza rises

out there coming up, and they're going to just surprise the heck out of themselves, and they're

going to make a huge impact in this country, and you can do it here. And that's what really hit me.

And I have to tell you,

it was such an honor to talk to her because I don't think I've ever talked to anybody that's

smarter, more on top of their game than she is, and so well respected by everybody who has had the

opportunity to know her, be around her, and hear what she has to say.

So this is a great podcast, and if you haven't listened to it, you owe it to yourself to go back
