Welcome to How Leaders Lead. I'm Kula Callahan, here to bring you another edition of three more questions with David Novak.

0:10.9

David, before we get into it, I have a question for you. How often do you tuck in your shirts?

0:19.2

Well, cool, I have to tell you, when it comes to my shirts, I go both ways.

0:24.7

Oh. I tuck them in and I tuck them out. And it's kind of like when I have my linen shirts on,

0:32.2

when I'm kind of strolling on the beach, I tuck them out. If I got a dress pants on, I tuck them in. So, you know, I go both

0:40.9

ways when it comes to shirts. I love it. I think there's a time and place for both. In fact,

0:45.5

a lot of tailors today are doing shirts that you can tuck in and untuck. In fact, that's an option

0:53.3

0:56.7

but I do know that's an option. You keep it relaxed. Well, David, today we're debriefing your conversation with

1:03.1

Chris Rickabano. He's the founder of a company called Untuck It. You've probably seen his face on

1:09.0

their commercial recently. Untuck it is a clothing brand that

1:12.5

designs shirts that are meant to be worn untucked. This guy is a freaking passionate leader,

1:19.6

and he just cares so deeply about these shirts that he created to be worn untucked. And it's

1:25.6

amazing to hear that in the interview with him.

1:31.7

Yeah. And, you know, the reason why he does the commercials himself is he didn't think anybody could tell the story any better than him because he has that passion for the shirt. And he believes

1:36.9

in it so much. He absolutely does, David. I'm excited to get your take on some of the concepts

1:41.9

that you guys talked about. So let's get going with today's questions.

1:45.8

All right, fire away.

1:50.7

Question number one.

1:52.1

Chris is very open about the fact that giving up control is one of his biggest challenges as he leads Untucket.

1:59.7

He says typically entrepreneurs have a problem relinquishing control

2:03.0

because they've been the sole person responsible for making everything in their business happen
