Now let's get into the Word of God. First Thessalonians chapter 5 and our text is going to be verses 16 through 18.

We made it through to verse 15 last week so I'll have you turn there if you're not there already

and once you do if you're able I ask to stand if not that's all right where you

seated is fine you can follow along as I read we have three verses basically it's one

sentence but three verses verse 16 Paul writing by the Holy Spirit says,

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances,

for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

That's pretty self-explanatory, isn't it?

Should we just close in prayer?

Thank you, Lord. Lord, thank you for your word and this portion that we have before us this morning

here in your word. Lord, would you as only you can and are always so faithful to

settle our hearts, quiet our minds, enable us by the Holy Spirit to give you our undivided attention so you can speak into our lives

and minister to us. Lord, keep anything that would distract us away from us because we don't

want to miss anything that you have for us. We ask you for this in Jesus' name.
