Hey there, welcome back to the She podcast. If this is your first time tuning in, welcome

for the very first time. I am so glad that you have joined me. I wanted to keep this episode

kind of short, but I get a lot of questions from readers and listeners, probably a lot

like you. And there's a lot of questions surrounding building relationships and building

friendships, especially in new seasons of seasons of life or in new places or trying

to find like minded friends. You know, I think when you work in a certain industry or

you have a certain set of values or beliefs, it can be hard to really lean into finding

and building and even rebuilding and cultivating friendships and connections and, you know,

life giving friendships, not just random acquaintances. And it's something that I have become

a lot more, I think, invested in in this season of my life and also something that I wanted

to speak into because Matt and I will often joke when we're with friends of ours or just

people that we know whenever we're talking about networking or building friendships. And

when we first started dating, we noticed this that he is the kind of person. We're very

different in how we approach friendships or how we approach relationships and even how

we view them when it comes to friendships and networking. He's the kind of person who

views relationships through the lens of pretty much everyone is in a acquaintance until

they've earned my trust and then they become a friend. And I'm more of the flip side

around like everybody's a friend until they ruin my trust and then they're an enemy,

maybe not an enemy, but definitely not maybe in my friend's circles. So when we first met,

you know, I had such a wide range of people that I referred to as friends, even if, you
