Hi, my name is Phil Fraser. I'm a business sounding board, think sort of business coach slash

business mentor. But previous to that, I spent 18 years running my own business. I took it from

startup to sale to PLC. We were an online comparison website. And what I want to talk to you about today is how we really continuously try to develop our website.

And we asked ourselves three questions all of the time.

The first was, why should our audience come to our website?

The second was, why should our audience stay to our website? The second was, why should our audience stay on our website?

And the third question was, why would our audience,

or why should our audience come back to our website?

So let's take those three things that one at a time.

So firstly, why should your customers come to your

website? And actually, if you add an extra bit to that, why should they come to your website

rather than all of the others that are out there on the internet that do exactly the same as

yours? So you need to be thinking about your USP. What's different

about your website? The second thing then is why should they stay on your website? And obviously

length of stay on your website, obviously is commercially the right thing to do. But more and more
