I think the way the Wink thing ended and the fact that the Wink Martindale defense, while it was, I think, flawed, was still a success.

It was still on its worst day, a league average defense despite the talent being bottom-tiered talent.

Wink Martindale knew how to get stuff out of Giants players, and the fact that he left, and the way that he left,

and then Shane Bowen coming in, and immediately from the moment that he came in, you know, that first season in those first couple of games,

you started to hear how players weren't buying into what he was selling. You heard the fact that

players don't believe in his system, how easy it is for opposing offenses to understand

the lack of success, the fact that it was, you know, bottom five from the moment he stepped
