Well today we're going to talk about identity. I'm John Fuller along with our

vice president of parenting Dr Danny we're to and Danny we have identities we

we form them or they're shaped by influences and by our family.

How about you? How was your identity formation as you were growing up?

Yeah, I mean it was an interesting one.

I do think that identity formation is a lifelong process.

We take on new roles and new responsibilities and it continues to shape that and ultimately

we fulfill our identity when we go to heaven. But along the way my parents

at Christian Home so my parents were intentional about talking about this

identity in Christ and part of that was to have a prayer life that was very

active that was that was to have a prayer life that was very active, that was personal.

And that was interesting from an early age.

I started to feel guilt.

If I didn't pray at night, there's this guiltiness, and it didn't feel like a child of God at that point. It felt like I needed to do this otherwise I was going to upset this being.

And my mom would encourage me to know that I could just talk to him at any time and I love that.

She emphasized the importance of memorizing scripture to take on this soul and this identity as a child of God. But I remember her telling me things

along the way that she saw in me and my dad would do the same and they would say,

hey you love people, we can tell early on you love people and

you're gonna be a pastor someday that's what she said you someday I see you being a

pastor I was probably third fourth fifth grade and at that time I was into being a weather man actually.

I wanted to talk about the weather all the time because I wanted to snow day and I wanted to make it snow,

but it was interesting for her to see that and she said,
