Dating is hard in this day and age.

I mean, it has always been hard, but it seems to have gotten even more difficult thanks

to modern technology.

It's funny, because there are all kinds of dating apps and websites that put you into contact

with people who are actively looking to date.

You would think it would make things easier, but it hasn't.

The hard part is finding someone who shares the same interests as you, especially when

your interests are as niche as mine.

A car turns into the dark parking lot, and I straighten in my seat, heart eating faster.

Is it her?

I turn in the driver's seat, looking through the back window.

The car pulls a U-turn, headlights sweeping the side of the abandoned factory.

As the vehicle pulls back out onto the road, I sink into my seat.

It wasn't her.

Maybe she won't show up.

It wouldn't surprise me.

Like I said, dating is hard.
