Any time or day or night, we're happy to be there with you.

Yeah, you're probably on a plane, taking a bath,

driving to Portland. Who knows what's going on. That's right. We're there for you. We're there with you.

We like to think that way. Are we wrong to think that way? No, I think we are. We are right to think

that way. Okay, good. Well, hi, we're here to talk movies again, which is what we like to do.

We like to take our inspiration from something current. And currently, Steve Carell is getting a lot of

attention, even awards buzz that dreaded awards buzz that we can't avoid this time of year,

for his performance, a serious performance in Bennett Miller's movie, Foxcatcher.

Foxcatcher. Foxcatcher.

And we were thinking, well, there are many other cases of comedians turning serious.

So why don't we make that a theme, we said to ourselves.

Yeah, comics get tragic.

Well, maybe not tragic, just serious.

Okay, all right.

I will say when I was growing up, I do remember that it was always a big event when someone like Jackie Gleason or Milton Burle did a serious, dramatic role on TV or in the movies.

Much was made of that.

So this is nothing new.

It's not exactly a new idea.
