Earlier today, the Yankees had a lineup in a spring training game, and usually that's not

cost for news or anything.

But it was a lineup that you could look at and say, way, that could be the opening day

lineup.

Because just about every regular was in it, especially the fact that Jean-Carlo stands not

going to be ready for opening day.

So it basically featured everybody.

And so when Yankee fans woke up this morning and they saw the lineup, they looked at it and said,

wow, that could be the opening day lineup. And it featured Austin Wells leading off, Aaron, Judge

2, Bellinger 3, Goldie, 4, Jazz 5, Volpe, Dominguez, Grisham, and Oswaldo.

And I don't hate it.

Like, I'm at this point right now at the Yankee lineup, but there's nothing I hate when it comes

to who should lead off, because I don't think there's an obvious answer except for one.

And no one talks about it.

Everyone just brushes it aside as if it's this stupid farcical thing.

And I'm just being honest.

I don't think Aaron Boone's going to do it, much like Carlos Mendoza wasn't going to do my idea of hitting Alonzo's second.

But I will argue with anybody that it's the best plan for the New York Yankees, even if it's not going to happen.

No.
