A couple of things.

First of all, Larry Brooks, who does a fine job covering the NHL for the New York Post,

is saying that he's hearing the Jack Hughes injury is significant.

And even pondered, I wonder if it might turn the devils from buyers into sellers.

I'm no hockey expert.

They cannot become sellers.

Well, I don't care how bad the injury is to Jack Hughes.

They're five points up on a playoff spot.

Let me play, and actually no pun intended for once, devil's advocate to this whole thing.

The devils are six points up on the Rangers who hold the last spot in the postseason.

The Devils have also played two more games than the Rangers and everybody else who's jumbled there,

meaning if anybody won those games, you're talking about a two-point swing.

The Devils at one point were 20 points up on the Rangers who hold that last spot, meaning this collapse is not just Jack Hughes-related, it's been epic.

Last year, we saw them without Jack Hughes.

They are, that's just a team that's going to waste everybody's time for four games in the

season. I would just have a tough time selling when I'm six points up on a playoffs.

Yeah, that's hard to do, man.
